One Night.
This Lineup.

Davide Pannozzo with Will Lee, Shawn Pelton & Etienne Stadwijk — the rhythm section behind David Letterman, Saturday Night Live, and decades of New York’s deepest grooves.

It happened on August 6. We got the night on tape — and I’m sending you the live take of The Subway Song from it.

The Band

Four players. One stage. One night.

This is not a regular gig. It’s the rhythm section that built modern New York — backing the artists you grew up hearing, now playing my music for one show only.

About The Series

In The Pocket at Iridium

Iridium has been the heart of Broadway’s jazz scene for over thirty years — the room where Les Paul played his Monday night residency for fourteen years, the stage where the city’s most respected players come to share music.

The In The Pocket Series brings together the rhythm section musicians who built the sound of modern New York with artists they don’t usually share the stage with. One band. One night. No second chance.

On August 6, that band was mine.

“He makes the guitar have a conversation. If Miles was still with us, I’d bet Davide would be getting the call anytime now.”
